Wednesday 30th August - It's time to go south

Yet another beautiful day on the Gold Coast. We took this last opportunity to go for a quick walk in the warm sunshine before packing up.
Tiz, with a poor photographer, in Surfers Paradise proper

We got this fine steed to cart us around, at a great price by using the RACV insurance thus avoiding the Thrifty Rentals ridiculous rate which is more than the hire of the car.
So, large Commodore station wagon hire + RACV insurance < tiny Toyota Corolla hire
+ Thrifty insurance gouge.
By the by, I think that Commodores drive very well and,
from my brief experience,
are a bit hard done by, by the critics.

and our bedroom

We caught the 12:50 Boganstar flight to Babylon Avalon and then drove to Tullamarine to pick up Lidia, which took slightly less than the flight from the Gold Coast. Damn that Western Ring road is a ..... and there's no other way of putting it - a complete piece of shit.

The drive from Tullamarine to home was a wee bit better.

On getting home I proceeded with what I knew needed to be done, I resigned from RMIT.
